Led 27 states in an amicus brief to help overturn the 40-year-old Chevron doctrine at the Supreme Court, ending federal agencies' power to simply rely on their own interpretations of laws when Congress wasn't clear. This was considered President Obama's top domestic initiative at the time.

Led 20+ states to block the EPA's federal land grab that would have required ranchers, farmers, miners, and homebuilders to get federal permission for the simplest activities on their own property. Protected West Virginians from bureaucrats who wanted to regulate ephemeral streams and many land-masses the same way that it regulated the Mississippi, Potomac, and Ohio rivers.

West Virginia achieved the largest reduction in overdose deaths in America with a 41% year-over-year decrease. Opioid deaths down 69%, fentanyl deaths down 71%, meth deaths down 64%.

West Virginia became the first state in the nation to secure a federal waiver to remove soda as a taxpayer-subsidized entitlement under SNAP, redirecting assistance toward nutritious food and fighting obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. West Virginia was also the first state to ban artificial dyes in school lunches, leading the nation in protecting children's health.
