Governor Patrick Morrisey joined local officials to break ground on a $58.7 million hotel and mixed-use redevelopment overlooking the Ohio River in Wheeling.
An economic analysis projects 465 construction jobs and nearly $88 million in spending during the build, followed by 187 jobs and more than $23 million in annual economic activity once the hotel is operating.
The project turns a prominent downtown site into a new destination and adds momentum to Wheeling's broader riverfront revival.
